The basic guidelines for an adult dog is 2% and 3% of your pets bodyweight per day. This is generally split between 2 meals a day. These guidelines are just that – guidelines. All of our pets are different and require different quantities depending on their lifestyle, activity levels, any illnesses and general body weight and condition at the beginning of the raw journey. If your pet is very active and at an optimum bodyweight you will probably be feeding 3%. If you pet is very sedate and overweight you will be looking at closer to 2%. This of course, can be adjusted as you get used to raw feeding and observing your pet. Your pets condition will guide you. Theres a great raw food app out thats tells how much to feed you may find it helpful.
